Mindanao Footballers Earn Full Scholarship at Adamson University

In a joint effort to promote youth development through sports, Damosa Land, Inc. (DLI) and Don Antonio O. Floirendo, Sr. (AOF) Foundation, Inc. partnered with Adamson University on its second year of the scholarship program.

154 aspiring senior high school student footballers from different parts of Mindanao came to the three-day football tryout from May 30 to June 1, 2025, at the Tionko Football Grounds in Davao City. They had one goal in mind – to secure a spot for a full scholarship and a chance to join the Adamson University football team.

Focusing on evaluating each participant’s skill, discipline, physical endurance, and potential to excel both academically and in sports, a total of seven students were granted this once-in-a-lifetime privilege: Joshua Banzon Arguelles from Mintal, Davao City, Ronstone John Belleza Neri and Ronstone Henrich Belleza Neri both from Tagum City, Marc Zoe Moreno Hayahay from Panabo City, Johnwey Lloyd Camaria from Kapalong, Davao del Norte, and Sean Eneko Ladua Calindao and Dan Youje Lorizo Saito from Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

The scholarship will cover free tuition and miscellaneous fees, transportation, and board and lodging, allowing these scholars to fully focus on their academic and athletic endeavors without thinking of financial burden.

This partnership with Adamson University reflects Damosa Land’s commitment to creating opportunities for the youth in Mindanao, aligning with its broader goal of nation-building through education and sports; opening new pathways for young athletes to pursue education in Metro Manila while honing their talents in a competitive environment and fast paced city life.

This year marks the second batch of scholars selected under this ongoing partnership, continuing a legacy of hope, opportunity, and growth for promising student-athletes across Mindanao.
