For Davaoenos and tourists alike, Kadayawan is more than just a festival—it’s a feast for all the senses.
This year, the celebration became even more colorful as Damosa Land, Inc. (DLI) joined the festivities and marked the 10th anniversary of the most anticipated Damosa FoodFest, transforming the Damosa Complex into a lively hub of good food and entertainment from August 14 to 17.
What began as a small food bazaar a decade ago has blossomed into one of the city’s most anticipated culinary and lifestyle fairs.In its 10th year, 45 well curated concessionaires lined the Damosa grounds, serving up everything from sizzling street food and freshly grilled seafood to artisanal desserts, specialty coffee, and international bites.
Beyond food, stalls offering local crafts, lifestyle products, and novelty finds gave festival-goers even more to explore.
From 4 p.m. to midnight daily, huge crowd did not just flock to Damosa but also stayed, dined, and spent the night at the event, with an estimated more than 20,000 people for the course of four days. As night fell, the fair came alive with live band performances, creating the perfect backdrop for shared meals and laughter.
One of the weekend’s highlights was the appearance of social media personality Sherwinabols, who lit up the main stage on the festival’s third night. Fans flocked to meet him as he made surprise visits to select concessionaire booths, adding extra excitement to the already buzzing crowd.
Food and lifestyle content creators Davao Food Guide, Jinkie Bangcot and Teng Kaon TV also joined in, sharing their festival finds in real time and giving the online audience the taste and glimpse of the action.
Damosa Food Fest remains a proud tradition—one that reflects the energy of Kadayawan and the heart of Davao itself. And it’s going to be bigger next year!
