PLDT-Smart power free Wifi in Damosa district
Damosa District, one of the fastest growing business and leisure districts in the city, now has free Smart Wifi internet access. This was made possible through the official partnership of the homegrown real estate developer, Damosa Land, Inc., and telecommunications and digital services provider PLDT, Inc.
Through PLDT’s corporate business group PLDT ALPHA and wireless arm Smart Communications, free internet connectivity in Damosa district will be made available to the public. Damosa District offers a dynamic convergence of business and leisure where the ANFLOCOR Corporate Center, Damosa Gateway, Damosa Market Basket, Damosa Business Center, the PEZA-accredited Damosa IT Park, and Microtel Hotel, are all nestled.
This recent offer from Damosa and PLDT-Smart will make access to social media and the internet more efficient, thus empowering the public to connect more to the bigger world from the very spot where they are in Damosa District.
At the official signing of the deal last November 25, 2016, Vic Y. Tria, VP & Head of Corporate Relationship Management of PLDT ALPHA, expressed his excitement to serve investors such as Damosa Land.
Glenda Limjap, PLDT Relationship Manager, said that, “We are glad that Damosa Land, Inc. and PLDT share the same vision. We at PLDT and Smart are truly grateful for the trust and support in choosing us as their partner and enabler in providing high-speed WiFi connectivity in the Damosa district”.
“The installation of Smart Wifi in key metropolitan areas like Davao is consistent with the PLDT Group’s thrust to have more Filipinos experience the many benefits of internet,” said Regina Pineda, Head of Smart Wifi.
Topping it off, Vice President for Damosa Land, Inc., Ricardo F. Lagdameo, is also thankful for yet another partnership with PLDT.
“Our history with [PLDT] dates back even beyond 2009. It’s in our IT Park, our other industrial projects, and now we have the Smart Wifi in our Damosa District. We’re very happy that [PLDT] came in and brought in this new concept of free WiFi,” said Lagdameo.
“The message for both of the companies is very clear, we’re here to enjoy the growth here in Davao,” he added.
