Damosa to start construction of first condo project in Davao
DAMOSA Land Inc. is targeting to start the construction of its first condominium project, Seawind, by June of this year once they have acquired their building permits.
The project will rise in a 2.7 hectare (ha.) property on Km. 11 in Sasa.
It will be composed of six residential buildings, three of which are seven storeys with 165 units each while the other three are eight storeys with 189 units each.
Damosa Land Inc. vice president Ricardo F. Lagdameo, in Wednesday’s interview with reporters at the ground breaking of the project, said the first phase of the project will be the construction of the first three seven-storey buildings and its amenities, including large open spaces, a basketball court, pool, and clubhouse, among others.
He said they will start the construction once they acquire the necessary building permits. At present, they already have their development permit, barangay clearance, and environmental compliance certificate (ECC).
Lagdameo said there are three available types of unit, a two bedroom unit at 37 square meters (sqm.), a three bedroom unit at 72 sqm., and a bi-level condo unit at 67 to 68 sqm. He said 90 percent of all their units are two bedroom units.
The two bedroom units are pegged at P1.5 million to P1.6 million while the three bedroom unit and bi-level unit are at P3 million.
Lagdameo said they have acquired the temporary license to sell from Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), which will allow them to pre-sell the units.
He said their target markets are those within living nearby Sasa area and also those living in the northern part of Davao Region like Tagum City and Panabo City. They are also targeting the upper-middle to upper income classes.
Lagdameo said the development of the whole Seawind project will run for six years.
Aside from Seawind, they are on the planning stage for another seaside condominium project on Lizada St. in Lanang. They are also set to develop a mixed-used development at a 90-hectare property in Panabo City.
