Damosa Installs Solar Panels at Damosa IT Park
Homegrown property developer Damosa Land Inc. has started installing solar panels for its building at the Damosa IT (Information Technology) Park.
Ricardo F. Lagdameo, company vice president, said the company has initially installed a 200-kilowatt system of solar energy at the Damosa IT Park.
“This will be the first of what we see as several solar installments. Aside from cost savings, this is a step in making the company more environment-friendly,” said Lagdameo, grandson of the late company founder Don Antonio O. Floirendo.
He said the based on estimate, the company will be able to initially save about 30% of its electricity bills and that “this can increase when we scale up the system.”
Although he did not mention the value of investments for the project, Lagdameo said the company will look at expanding it and may even include other buildings of the company as well as those of its sister companies.
The IT park is just among the developments that the company is also considering its other projects, like the six-building Seawind condominium as well its Anflo Industrial Estate in Panabo City, Davao del Norte.
