Damosa Land sets its gears to develop an 88-hectare mixed-use project in Davao del Norte

Panabo Project

Soon to emerge near the coast of Panabo City is a premier development with places to live, work, shop, and learn.

Damosa Land Vice President Ricardo F. Lagdameo announced last September 2015 that the company is working towards developing the first phase of their 88-hectare property in Panabo City, Davao del Norte. The project is envisioned to be the new city center of Panabo, integrating places to live, work, shop, and learn, among others.

Since Panabo is known as the “Agri-Industrial gateway of Mindanao to the world,” the master plan carried out by Palafox Associates hinges on agriculture as the focal point for development. Thus, it will strike a balance between the proposed structures and the natural features of the site. Part of the plan is to create a demo farm that will provide end-users with a live and interactive agricultural experience. In 2014, Anflo Management and Investment Corporation (Anflocor), the parent company of Damosa Land, has also signed an agreement with the University of the Philippines (UP) to locate an extension campus for agriculture within the property. Classes for UP’s Master of Science in Entomology program are currently being held at the Anflocor Corporate Center.

The master plan also calls for residential, commercial, educational, and tourism clusters that are interconnected, walkable, and bikeable. Another unique feature of the development is a high-end island subdivision with southeastern views of the Garden Island of Samal. The plan proposes a diverse mix of outdoors recreational activities, which includes boating, fishing, and wakeboarding, to name a few. As a complete development, the plan also has provisions for a hospital, church, convention center, shopping mall, and many others.

This pioneering development will propel the economic and tourism potential of Panabo City. It will sustain the city’s need to develop, being a satellite for its expansion.
